WHAT IS THE PROBLEM OF DEFORESTATION IN MEXICO?
STUDENT: COSSIO GUEVARA JOSUE JOVANNI 3th SEMESTER SECTION: 406. Over the years we have been able to appreciate how this problem advances and becomes bigger in our country. According to the report "Estimation of the gross deforestation rate in Mexico for the 2001-2018 order through the sampling method" of the National Forestry Commission (Conafor), for 2018 an annual deforestation rate of 166 thousand 337 hectares was estimated . This represents more than double that of 17 years ago, when a total rate of 79,677 deforested hectares was estimated. The year of greatest deforestation in Mexico was 2016 with a rate of 350 thousand 298 hectares deforested.According to all this information, we can say that within 10 years our country will be in a severe crisis caused by deforestation. Some indirect causes of deforestation are demographic in places where there are forest areas and are populated by migrant groups; low costs of land, labour, fuel or wood; increase in the price of crops; policies that promote deforestation; lack of comprehensive planning on the management of the territory that entails government subsidies for the development of livestock, fruit or energy activities in areas with a forestry vocation; increase in agricultural technology that promotes profitability in agriculture and can lead to the growth of this activity; and lack of public interest in forest conservation. This according to Conafor data. The lack of interest has reached such a degree that if a person sees that the problem is taking place in his own neighborhood, he isn't going to do anything to stop it and will not give it the importance it deserves. https://www.mexicosocial.org/la-deforestacion-en-mexico/ https://parabienoparamal.com/problema-deforestacion-mexico/ |
